  • You’re so fucking lucky if you saw me trying to paint it in the rain with just an Umbrella 😂. Heat resistant decals sounds like it’ll look awesome now I need to find some Subaru ones. You’re really making me wish I worked at a car dealership.

    • I may be lucky, but I definitely took my time with this one if you think about it XD

      * thinks of painting brake calipers *
Nah, it's raining and goes to work in a freaking dealership that always has some indoor space for a car that needs work...
      * does this for 2 months *
Hang on, I work at a dealership, I can just work on my car there, even tho I've done work before on my cars there... Changed my C-class's differential oil and applied protective undercoat spray last autumn.
But hey... genius takes time right XD

It's a pretty easy job managing a dealership. Lie to people Peugeot is a good car, do a bit of boring office stuff, take the occasional window shopper out for a test drive and play GTA San Andreas and GTA IV for the rest of the day XD
Fridays I also have to drive to a warehouse in the Czech Republic for parts in bulk, fluids, tires etc. in the company long wheelbase, automatic, full spec Sprinter with an air ride seat. I could let an employee do it, but I don't... I also do my shopping there, cause it's cheaper. Saving 25 bucks a week on average.

      Where do you work?

PS: Brake caliper stickers cost me 9 Euro. If they hold out the 2000km drive to Bulgaria in 3 weeks, I'll buy a set for my E-class too.

      • Hahah that sounds like something I’d do except I’d never actually think about it.

That seems more like a fun job than anything https://images.app.goo.gl/QYiNKaJwYzqivkSN9

I’ve actually thought of applying to a dealership in the past, it was for Jeep I’d also have to lie on that one. Maybe sometime in the future I’ll give dealing a try.

I’m a dog groomer. Times I don’t have vicious clients and get cancelled appointments I always wish I could just go home and do something extra, stuff like painting my calipers instead of waiting for a good day that never shows to do it. But on the side I do some website work so I can stay busy. Bet it’s luxury getting a garage to spend extra time in.

Oh nice they’re cheap I’ll definitely be stealing your idea and ordering some. I didn’t even realize you can get decals for it.

I was trying to do it fast in the rain so I didn’t get to do really any sanding but that’s how it looks so far. Like my pink sti springs? Haha

        • Behold the brilliance of my magnificence: https://ibb.co/dtCNpBm
It is done, after just 2 months of brainstorming XD
Sadly I did have to work with jack stands, as all of the car lifts were taken, so I couldn't lazily do the job, while listening to country music XD

Also sadly the Mercedes decals I bought are a bit too big and will cover the brake caliper completely and will look weird, so I didn't put them on. Gonna save them for the E-class. It has bigger brakes and the decals will sit just right.

I could upgrade the brakes completely in my C-class, but the standard brakes are good enough to handle the 185hp my C-class makes, so why bother... I did get some drilled disks a while back, cause they look cooler.
A friend of mine suggested I get AMG decals and put those on, as they are smaller. But I'm not gonna do that as it's too ricey...
It's like the muppets you see in 1 Series BMW driving about that all have M-packages and 20 M-badges XD

I can imagine your job requires a lot more patience and skill than mine... If a client is a shit driver, I can always end a test drive due to "safety risks", but you have to give that floppy-eared mofo a makeover whether he wants it or not.

PS: Question... why are the springs pink? I mean, I like 'em, but why, do they come in hot pink stock? Or is there a tuning story behind them XD

          • Yours is a lot better done than mine for sure. Looks super smooth really wish I sanded mine. I only ever use jack stands, sucks having to do with such a low car.

At least you can put it to use with another car. I’m starting to wonder if I order some if they will fit mine either. I’m sure the front ones but back I’m not sure.

They definitely do look cooler. Yeah might as well stay fairly stock if it’s not needed to change, more priorities to do. Hahah I do see that to much, although I’m a bit of a ricer at least I’m not driving around with STi badges like some.

I get lots of well behaved dogs which is always nice. But some 😒. Definitely not easy tho especially dangers of having a razor near a dog that don’t wanna sit and be calm. Last thing I needs a vet call.

As for the springs being pink I bought them that way so idk if that’s how they came regularly or not. They are lowering springs but not by a ton. Enough where I can enjoy it low but also high enough to plow through rough winters. I wish I had a better story behind them haha.

            • Well, Subaru is a smaller word than Mercedes Benz, so it will probably fit. Just check the sizes, something I didn't do when I bought the decals XD

My C-class is a bit riced too, but I like the end result. AMG front bumper, S-class style taillights and all windows blacked out (as usual). But I did also do an ECU remap, so not as rice as a ricer XD

What are the tint regulations where you live? In Bulgaria you're legally allowed to only tint the rear windows. But I tinted the front side ones too, cause they look cool. If you don't tint them too much, police don't mind. Cause most German car makers have a thing called "Privacy package" that includes factory tinted windows. So in the eyes of the Bulgarian police... high end cars with black windows are ok.

              • Yeah can always just check sizes on them. Idk how many times I’ve bought items that “fits your car” but doesn’t actually fit.

Idek what my front bumper is cause my fog lights are bigger than regular wrx ones. Makes me wonder if it’s something completely different. But I ordered it straight from japan. I don’t even see many fenders with blinker lights either. I got an interesting front end going on. At least you got some remapping done.

I could be wrong but I believe here you can’t have your drivers side or front windshield tinted. But if doing the passenger it has to be no darker than 35% I think. And as for the rest pretty sure any % will do. Haha that’s good they’re flexible on that too. I’m starting to truly believe police where you live are a lot more cooler than here in probably every way.
