Mid seventies. Job as a diver on a salvage job which required living in a chamber at 600 feet for about a week, in the New Hebrides. Coming back to the surface took even more time, but there was no work, so it was terribly boring.

If you commute by automobile every day, your life is a hell of a lot more dangerous than mine ever is.
My near death experience was the time I went in the bathroom right after my dad finished using it. Oof.
