Being a writer is hard, I know. I've been writing stories and poems since I was 10. It's only natural that some people will criticise your work, while others may thing it's brilliant. I myself, like Harry Potter, but hate the Twilight series. And it's like that with all stories and poems. But what makes a good author/writer is that you keep trying. Even if you have to prepare yourself for the worst, you can still keep faith in yourself. If a person doesn't like something, it only means that person doesn't like it. Not that it's rubbish. Because it's only an opinion. And writers get loads of different opinions after they publish their work and show it to others. But if you enjoy it, that's all that matters. Even if you're just doing it for fun, it doesn't matter. Just keep trying and don't lose confidence in yourself, because if you can write even one good poem/story, it shows that you have enough skill to be the perfect author. I was just like you once and I used to believe all the bullies from school who said I wrote a lot of rubbish. Now, I'm getting my work published and proving them wrong! If I can do it (with no qualifications at all), you can achieve your dream too. =o)
