Years ago, I had a nasty back and forth with one of my uncles..Typical rich guy, playboy, and self-centered asshole. I knew he kept 25 grand, in cash, in his house, in a converted bedroom that had a closet and attic access. Just didn't know exactly where. Until one afternoon, I stopped by, didn't see his car, and went upstairs (he lived in the top half of a large, old house, so the bottom door was always open).
Went upstairs, snooped around, was wrong on a few tries, but then..In the closet, under a fake wood shelf, there it was. The cash. Instead of being greedy and swiping a ton of it, I took a few hundred, waited a few more months, knowing he'd add to the stash, and went back two more times. I figured he owed me from missed holidays, b-days, and just being an asshole.
I was never caught, but, haven't been back since moving out of the area years ago. He probably still has it in the same place. I'd go back again if I could..
