I feel the same way and it creeps me out too. I'd MUCH rather have a face-to-face social life and that is what I had all through school. When I got married and had a kid though I kinda holed up. It didn't take long for me to start using the internet for my social needs. Now it is this awkward, boring habit that I now have to unlearn.
