I was going to post a similar question.
I was raised Nothing then when I was 10 my mom got divorced and we went to Catholic church/school. I believed in that until I was about 25 and heard about all the priests molesting kids and read the sordid history of Christianity.
Basically, I believe in God but I wont give money or time to a man-created church because none of them seem to be honest or worthwhile. God can hear you if you pray alone in your head so I see no need to go sit with a bunch of hypocrites and confess my sings to some guy who likely is far far worse than me.
I'm Roman Catholic, but I haven't been to Mass in about six weeks, cause sometimes I can be kinda agoraphobic. I also tend towards having social anxiety from time to time.
