  • The idea of believing in a god doesn't make sense to me.

  • I would call myself a Christian because I do believe that Jesus died for me.

HOWEVER, if I am being honest with myself, there are some things in the Bible that I am having trouble believing.

Still though. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who believes Jesus died for them is a Chritian.

    • If there is a god, then he is a complete asshole. I perfer to believe he is man made. The only God that actually exists are scientific laws, probability and mathematics. You can trust those principles impecably. The thought of some personal, compasionate, all powerful being is complete bullshit. Just try jumping off your roof. A heartfelt prayer to some benevolent entity will not stop you from busting you ass. Gravity is more powerful than some deamed up superhero. This God will fail you every time. The God of the old testament is a complete douchebag. Why trust a murdering, predjudice arrogant asshole? This was created to instill fear in the masses by a few marketing wizards who found a way to control people and make a few sheckles while they were at it. The Jesus deal has been done many times in much older religions before JC supposedly ever came along and was granted the true christ of the new testiment. There are many recorded so called Messiahs who rose from the dead before JC. Research it. That's true. Again, some slick business men found a way to sell hope. So give up on the God you were brainwashed into believing when you were young. Start studying probability and statistics and take your chances with those principles. Bag the human version. Complete fabrication. If you do what I say those supposedly tolerant Christians promise you'll burn in hell. They do this to scare the shit out of you because your not forking over your cash to them. They hope maybe youll change your mind over fear and give them your wallet. Religion is a business folks....

    • I feel the same. But even looking at news today, there are so many angles on it, you must read between the lines.
As with the Bible, there are different writings about the same event.
But I am happy to be a Christian.

  • @OP I wouldn't be so quick to show bias towards one belief. Others could just as easily be bias towards the others you listed and call them made up too. Heathenism, from my understanding, is a form of Paganism, I think specifically Norse Paganism like Odinism.

  • I'm agnostic so I believe in ghosts and some form of life after death but I can't understand the concept of some magical spiritual being who loves and controls all when there is so much pain and misery. Most of which over the millennia has been carried out in the name of religion

  • Other, I practice astral projection and believe in the afterlife. That's about it.

  • I don't believe in god(s), satan, spirits, ghosts, jinns, telepathy, telekinesis, psychic powers, witchcraft, hoodoo, bhudda, or anything else even remotely paranormal or meta-physical.

  • Non-religious, but I don't consider myself an atheist. I have my beliefs but they fall outside religion in the traditional sense. My beliefs probably align with some of the eastern philosophies. I'm thinking either Shinto or Taoist, but I don't want to assume too much seeing as I've never really done much research into either practice.
