Is it normal to wait for five years to someone you love because that's the only RIGHT time you can be together? And the one who is waiting is a 25 year-old girl to a 17 year-old boy?They have communications and connections but they can't have relationships right now.

    I'd think typically the love would fade if they had to wait 5 years to start a relationship. But if both people actually did still want to have a relationship after 5 years, then that would be fine.

    Common? No. Normal? There's nothing "wrong" or "abnormal" about it, so yes, its normal.

    If you've found someone that you know is perfect for you, waiting shouldn't be a problem.
