  • Perfectly common in recovery and perfectly dangerous ad well. The switch of drugs of choice is often the afflictions way of pulling you down into another bender. And, each relapse will be worsevthan the previous and harder to stop. Look at the following, as I believe that pain in recovery is what causes relapse, not thatvyou haven't had enough and need to hurtore to stay sober. 1). Make a list of things that you know are triggers for you. Which trigger sent you out?

2). What were your thoughts, feelings, and attitudes like during tjhe days before you used? (possibly a situation in which you thought old thoughts, felt old feelings, and experienced old attitudes. Work with a sponsor and try and get to steps four and five without rushing the previous. Me? Sober 27 months. It is doable if I can. May the force be with you.
