One theory behind such a desire is that the sexual taboos put on sex within American culture are actually the cause of such fantasy. The suppression of the vigor of female sexuality can cause women to feel guilty about having sex. Therefore, fulfilling a "rape fantasy" (legal term... its not that Im just a creeper) allows an individual to stay in accordance with perceived norms while at the same time allowing you to enjoy sex. The implicit logic is that you had no control in the endevor, and are therefore blameless. (Fisher 1999)
Being very clear... This is just one theory. The pyschology behind such a phenomina is still not very well understood. However, I can tell you that it is PERFECTLY normal. While some may deem it as masochistic, it is quite prevalent making it "normal"
