I'm the exact same way. My boyfriend's even slapped me across the face before. Rough sex is the best sex at least to me. It's actually completely normal. Being very clear... This is just one theory. The pyschology behind such a phenomina is still not very well understood. However, I can tell you that it is PERFECTLY normal. While some may deem it as masochistic, it is quite prevalent making it "normal"
