Ranchers are just bitter complainers

I don't know maybe its just me, but it seems like all cattle people ever do when in the news or on tv is complain. If there's an article on bears or wolves, there's always some guy griping about how bad they are for his cows. Or if its on deer or elk, someone always starts whining about how theres too many in their fields.

Maybe I'm just biased because it happens so much around here, but its really getting on my nerves. Its like all they care about is their cows and sheep and they don't give a shit about local wildlife!
Our area used to be filled with coyotes and cougars, now all you ever see are giant herds of scrawny deer because the ranchers have killed everything.

The other day I saw an article of how bad the elk are getting on the coast, and I just laughed. Now that most of the bears, cougars and wolves are gone, they're complaining about the elk! I honestly don't feel sorry for them. They did it to themselves by fucking with the ecosystem and I hope the ones who have done the most damage go out of business.

This is just my opinion. I know some ranchers aren't dumb like this, its just that the ones in my area are. Sorry if this offends anyone.

Cowboys cry in their beer constantly. Country western music helps them. Every other word in every song is "Momma". These calf roping ruffians aren't really so rough. They have Momma separation issues that they never recover from.

I do like wolves actually. However, I would shoot any animal that threatened my awesome, little Siamese cat! Honestly, I would love to shoot an alligator.

If you shoot him, Rosie, you have to eat him. The good news is that deep fried alligator tail is really good.

While camping in the tropical swamps of Florida once, I happened upon a deadly water moccasin snake. Frightened, he coiled into strike position. Being unarmed, I only got as close as I could to take his picture. He was a very pretty guy. Hope nobody ever had to take him out.

Honestly, I'd rather sell the meat, and skin.

Forgot to say, it's a well known fact that alligators love dog. They don't really like cat unless they're unusually hungry. But next time you are taking an afternoon stroll thru the swamps with your kitty, I would keep a 9mm Beretta strapped to my leg if I were you. Shower with a good deodorant soap before you leave. Gators think Irish Spring, Dial, etc smell like shit.

Nope. You're not going camping with me. The native ancestors of the Seminole nation would be ashamed of you killing animals for money. One must be in harmony with the spirits of the wild.

They're trying to make a living, and people love to eat cows, so that's about the sum of it.

    • True. But they can still protect their livestock without killing everything and then complaining about the few animals that are left.

It's the same with coal miners and any other job that's overwhelmingly old white men. Because old white men love to complain and they love to play the victim. They were promised that everything would be handed to them on a silver platter just because they're white men and times have changed. Life is passing them by and they can't handle it.

The US actually just released a bunch of wolves into the population because of the coyote problems a year ago. I guess if you were a vegetarian it shouldn’t matter but it does drive the cost of meats up tremendously and that can effect the economy so maybe people should care more about it.

    • I live here and the price of meat has not gone up because of wolves from what I’ve seen. There’s barely even a population compared to other predators. I’d say people’s dogs are actually killing more of their stock.

Maybe, if there are less people to feed, they won't need all that land?

    • They don’t need all that land in general. Half of it doesn’t even get used.

With animals, you do need more land so they do not destroy it by over grazing or in case of drought. Or even fire destroying the food. Same as a bank account, just in case.

        • Yes, but not excessively. The nearest rancher to me owns only 20 cows, but has over 500 acres. Cows need space but not that much.

True, but as with money, do people really need that much?

            • True! People who have a lot of money shouldn’t be hogging it either. If someone is truly rich they should be trying to help others as well.
And I’m not saying ranchers shouldn’t OWN all that land, I’m just saying they should learn to share it more with wildlife and be more understanding of how important wildlife and spaces void of livestock are.

I think it may be due to the fact that the only time people see them is on the news when they are facing a threat to their livelihood.

You never see farmers/ranchers on news bulletins looking pleased with themselves after counting their subsidies & money, or giving any of it away for charity.

I can see that rancher battling a bear for that steak 🐻🐄

    • It’d be better if he just protected his livestock by bringing them in at night or using LGD. Then he wouldn’t have to battle the bear in the first place.

LGD is now a common thing weightlifters use to increase muscle mass quicker since it's less dangerous than steroids. It's also more common for men over 40 who want to go back to weight lifting since when you're older, your muscles atrophy faster and it becomes harder to build muscle. The same level weight workout which would've built your muscles at age 25 would only be a maintenance workout at age 45, I guess that's where LDG would help.

        • LGD also stands for Livestock Guardian Dog.

Oh, I was talking about the non steroidal LGD athletes use when building muscle. LGD can stand for several different things I guess, LGD is also a banking term standing for Loss given default, where a borrower defaults a loan.

All that sunshine, fresh air, and beautiful scenery must make those cowboys miserable. What a waste of a lifetime.

    • No kidding! I don’t understand how they can be so ornery when they live in that. I’d be thrilled to live on acres of my own fields or forestland!

Because unlike you, they have to work, raising livestock is very hard work. We don't need bears and and wolves anyhow, just shoot the fucking things, it will the wilderness safer for people to enjoy. Don't be such a stupid sjw.

Very hard work? I don't think so. It's work about as hard a carpenter framing a house. You should try an assembly line job bolting pickup trucks together. You wouldn't last 6 hours.

        • Dustyair, your comment just proves my point. You assume that the whole world revolves around your sacred cattle.
Ranchers have the right to defend themselves and their animals, but wanting all wildlife exterminated just so you don’t have to get off your ass and protect your livestock is exactly why I’m done with most ranchers.
I have respect for them and what their doing, but our wildlife comes first. There will always be more cows.
