  • Jesus was not a human sacrifice in the way most people think of when they hear "human sacrifice." He was a human, and he was sacrificed. However, he was not sacrificed for the purposes of appeasing a deity. Technically, he was sentenced to death for blasphemy. He was killed to appease an angry Jewish crowd. I am not being told what to think any more than you are being told what to think. You have been told what to think by everyone around you, and so have I. We have simply been told different things and understood similar things in different ways.

    • Yes, good point. We can get a Jewish crowd angry with you and sacrifice you to their God of Vengeance. Are you still interested?

      • Again, he was not sacrificed to appease a deity. He was sentenced to death, because the religious authorities were afraid of the fact that he was gaining followers, under the pretense of blasphemy.

        • Okay, in your case the pretense of blasphemy shouldn't be a problem. Just think, you'll be a hero.

          • Quite traditionalIst Catholic mindset is the farthest from blasphemous that you can get, when it comes to Christian mindsets. All of the other ones disagree with the original teachings of the church.

            • But the Jews that hate you don't care about that. They want to watch your death for an entertaining afternoon. You're not in denial that your death will be amusing, are you? Even I am getting excited. Hehehe. Are you ready for your 40 lashes?
