It does explicitly mention human sacrifice. However, almost every time it mentions it, it's mentioning it to say, "Don't do that."
Examples:
"Neither let there be found among you any one that shall expiate his son or daughter, making them to pass through the fire: or that consulteth soothsayers, or observeth dreams and omens, neither let there be any wizard," -Deuteronomy 18;10
"Thou shalt not give any of thy seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor defile the name of thy God: I am the Lord." -Leviticus 18;21
"And they have built the high places of Topeth, which is in the valley of the son of Ennom, to burn their sons, and their daughters in the fire: which I commanded not, nor thought on in my heart." -Jeremias 7;31
Well my my my, aren't you just a clueless bastard. I was thinking about the butchery of Jesus of Nazareth the star of the show. I suppose you could die a senseless death like he did, and crazed people would commemorate your death with pizza and beer every week.
I am not going to participate. Senseless drama, bullshit symbolism, twisted thinking are for people that need to be told what to think. Tell your friends to eat their pizza, drink their beer and leave people who understand critical thinking alone. Just listening to you causes nausea.
Jesus was not a human sacrifice in the way most people think of when they hear "human sacrifice." He was a human, and he was sacrificed. However, he was not sacrificed for the purposes of appeasing a deity. Technically, he was sentenced to death for blasphemy. He was killed to appease an angry Jewish crowd. I am not being told what to think any more than you are being told what to think. You have been told what to think by everyone around you, and so have I. We have simply been told different things and understood similar things in different ways.
Again, he was not sacrificed to appease a deity. He was sentenced to death, because the religious authorities were afraid of the fact that he was gaining followers, under the pretense of blasphemy.

Did you know the Bible explicitly mentions human sacrifice? I think you would be a good sacrificial candidate. Yes!, you have my support.

Yes, good point. We can get a Jewish crowd angry with you and sacrifice you to their God of Vengeance. Are you still interested?

Okay, in your case the pretense of blasphemy shouldn't be a problem. Just think, you'll be a hero.
