I don't understand what is so spectacular about prom..but then again, I never went. Could you maybe plan some romantic evening on prom night for her? Make her dinner, add some dancing from music on a stereo. Just thinking of cheap options. She sounds like a selfish bitch though since she asked your friend to go instead. Anyways, life is a bit bigger than senior prom. I doubt you'll die if you break up with her.
I already tried to make other plans with her. She had none of it, so yeah, I'm pretty frustrated with the whole situation. I'll add that in the story, though. Thanks, man.
