Yeah, it's the type of attitude that hipstery types like to adopt to make it out like they're better then everybody else. Like people who go out of their way to do the opposite of everything normal people do so they can "not fit in" on purpose and then walk around like it's because they have some higher level of artsy-fartsyness about them
I think anyone who willingly identifies as a misanthrope is actually a narcissist that wants to feel special and is too arrogant to admit his very average, unremarkable narcissism.

I think most who identify themselves as misanthropes are not real misanthropes. They put labels on themselves because they think it makes them cool.

Yep. My post was missing something. The kind of misanthropes that I'm annoyed with do talk like narcissists.
