Problem with foreplay

OK, perhaps I sound abnormal. I have a gf and want to give her the best foreplay. But I'm not allways sure what foreplay to use and how to begin. I decided just to follow my instinc and I hope it works. How can I be sure that I do foreplay correct?

    Lots of kisses everywhere, stroking your hands on her body, caressing her breasts and generally touching. But make sure you're gentle though.
