  • The cult of celebrity makes it possible. It just is what it is.

    • Then you think it's OK for a pro player not to stand for the national anthem?

        • Not on the field. If I was the owner I would bench or fine their ass. Don't disrespect the USA when it gave you to earn a fortune in a year.

          • I guess that would be the prerogative of the organization and then they could deal with any public relations blowback. But if you believe in freedom of speech you need to be ready to be confronted by opinions you don't care for. And thats where I'm coming from. Is there a particular instance you can give as example?

            • Colin Kaepernik started it. As a protest as to how black people are treated in this country. While making millions. Where does he think the money to pay him comes from.

      • I think it is straight up bull shit! I do not want to watch their political wows before or during the game! They can save their beliefs and protest during their own time not mine!

It's all bull shit anyway! Give me a break! Because of their downright stupid actions I no longer watch Football. And I love the sport, but not enough to watch a bunch of freakin loser disrespect America!

  • In the US, the presidential election is a full-contact sport, with teams and merchandise and crazy fans on both sides. Not even pros are immune.
