I love my Jewish friends and I believe that Israel belongs to the Jews. I have no love for Islam, terrorism or the misogyny that religion promotes. I believe that Mohammed was a false prophet.
I love and respect Israel as the promised land of God's chosen people. As a Roman Catholic I believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and my Lord and Savior! I know that my beliefs aren't popular and people will judge and bash me for it, but I believe as a Christian that when people treat me badly because of my beliefs it's for God's greater glory.
Well, honestly I don't feel like getting into a debate about them. I don't think of them. People can say and think what they want about me, my beliefs and people like me, but I have no desire to change. I choose to side with the people I have the most in common with. I don't care for Hassidic Jews, they're just as bad as fundamentalist Christians.
Mainstream Israeli Jews I see as my brothers and sisters. I have great respect their military and the equality with which they treat their female soldiers.
All of these issues with the Arab world would be non issues if it weren't for oil, because all their money came from oil. I cannot in good conscious entertain any sort of sympathy with people who practice a religion of hate, misogyny.
See I wouldn't take issue with your religious beliefs or your greater kinship with Israeli Jews, I just think it's odd to dismiss a suffering population of men, women and children because they follow a different religion, or to lump all Arab populations together under the label of greedy, hateful oil barons who made their own bed and now must lie in it.
But as you say, you don't want to get into a debate. I just think it's sad - because as an atheist who has no religious ordinance to Love Thy Neighbour, I still have a lot of sympathy for the civilians born into a never-ending war created by foreigners.
pro- palestine or pro-israel?

Well I've explained my position in my other comment here.
Just wondering why, if you had to 'pick a side' in this conflict, you'd pick Israel?

Interesting - thanks for sharing your views.
So how do you feel about Palestinians, who have been forcibly removed from their land and marginalised in order to accommodate Israelis?

I mean the conflict certainly isn't as simplistic as Judaism v.s. Islam.

You're free to have your opinion and think it's sad just like I'm free to have my opinion and not think it's sad in the least.
