Pretend, homeless, hipster.

I have a friend, not really a good friend, who is a horrible annoying hipster who thinks he's cool because he doesn't ever have a job. He goes around with musical instruments he can't play and begs people for money for beer asking like he's on hard times, basically just cause he thinks its cool or it gives him some kind of artsy street cred. WTF, IIN?

Yes, I met this dude, who got on a high horse after being asked to pay this Indonesian man for a ride he thought was free. The other guy who told him he needed to pay was like its not even that much money, and then the hipster in question was like exactly, so it isn't much to him either. And then the other dude was like, its different. And then the hipster really got excited and was like "Why?! He probably has a job! Really why is it different?!" This was a 30 year old man who was a former app developer, and was now traveling the world, and somehow couldn't see how limited the opportunities were of this Indonesian man. The hipster could easily move home and make soooo much money, he was from Australia. But felt because he chose not to work he therefore should be entitled to more. I felt bad for him more than anything

They are everywhere where i live. It pisses me off because the people who need help, like the guy posting here who works all the time, get a bad rap while these beggars rake in cash.

Legit homeless people probably try their best to blend in and get out of their situation as quickly as possible.

Exactly. Actual homeless people don't bother me at all.

Yeah my area had professional beggars in it too. They'd station themselves outside of certain stores, carrying signs, and begging all day in the hot sun or freezing cold. Sometimes they had kids or a pet with them. When the day was done, they drove off in brand new cars or we'd see them buying shopping carts full of beer or expensive electronics. I don't see them anymore since people got tired of their shit and called them out for it.
