"...we can't think of any other possibilities and the timeline lines right up."
Your family dinner table is one I'd never want to join as a guest.
Forget about the virgin birth in the Bible. That's nothing more than mythology and similar to other miraculous births attributed to lots of deities around the world in ancient times.
A woman simply cannot get pregnant from a box of sealed tampons, and a woman cannot get pregnant without at least one spermatozoa getting into the uterus.
It is possible that your aunt had a sexual encounter which resulted in semen being deposited on the exterior of her genitals, and one very determined and vigorous sperm managed to make it's way up her vagina, through her cervix, and into her uterus. That definitely has been known to happen to very surprised women who didn't understand as much as they should have about birth control. It is also possible that a tampon assisted in this, since inserting a tampon while semen is on the vulva could transport sperm up the vagina.
In this case, your aunt would - strictly speaking - be a virgin, since no penis would have entered her vagina, but she clearly would have had sex of some sort.
A further, distasteful possibility occurs to me. Your question and comments sorta imply that your aunt is living with you or other family members. If she's not lying or deluded about never having had a sexual encounter with a man, it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that some male in the household has been messing around with her while she's asleep and he has ejaculated on her vulva.
Pregnant from tampons? What to do?

Or he played that artificial insemination joke with a plastic syringe just for snickers and giggles.
