  • So he did get in touch and he asked to see me on Saturday. Then he asked me to pay for dinner if he pays for the movie tickets. This guy is 32 years old and has a full time job. I'm a student and work part time and he knows my financial situation. Is this guy doing this because he doesn't see me as dating material and he just wants to smash? I know it's 2018 and men don't have to pay for everything but he's not even being chivalrous with me!!

    • Guys go dutch on these things, especially with younger girls, because they don't want to be taken for a ride. He could be worried that because you essentially rejected him at the end of the first date, you're just interested in an older guy who will show you a good time without having to reciprocate. Then again, he could also just be a guy looking for some fun without any real investment.

Of course, rather than just worrying about all of these things, you should probably just have "the talk" and find out what he wants. That's what adults do. If that scares him off, that should make it clear that he wasn't interested in anything real.
