Is it normal that I think if a poor couple pops out six kids with no plans for higher education, that each of those kids has 1/6 (or less) the value of one kid whose parents are saving up for his education? And that each of the poor kids should only have 1/6th of a vote?
Growing up in a very poor family with my two brothers and one sister we got taught better than good values and great manners and necessary life skills.
Today my sister owns a gigantic supermarket, my brother fixes all kinds of big trucks and gets a brilliant salary, my other brother is a police officer and I am the regional manager for a chain of restaurants and also an avid and successful investor in something I won't mention now. All of us own property and all three of my siblings are married and happy. We all help our parents so that they don't have to suffer and stress.
So yeah, fuck you and your shit opinion.
I think that regardless of your parents' social status, you are the architect of your own destiny. Whatever the level of education you decide to attain, it is influenced mainly by the kind of person that you primarily are,your hopes and dreams and partly by your back ground. However,I also think that poor peoples' kids have more motivation to be educated and worth something because they have tasted poverty and have the opportunity to hope for more.
