Poop, fear, girlfriends house

It's not exactly "normal," but you're not alone. You need to relax - both mentally and physically. LOL. I was the same way when I was younger. In fact, I can probably count the times before the age of 20 that I had bowel movements in public places or friends' houses on one hand. It was so bad, that while a teenager visiting Switzerland, I was so embarrassed to poo in my host family's toilet that I ended up holding it for 4 days until finally I pooed in the forest behind their house. Talk about debilitating fear.

It finally happened that in university I fell in love and my boyfriend ended up moving in. Well, it's hard to time bowel movements in this situation. I was always so terrified of stinking up the bathroom or making huge, unladylike, trumpeting, farting noises I became constipated! But you know what? He wasn't embarrassed. If he was stinky he just sprayed the Lysol around and laughed if I joked about it. Just remember: Everyone has to poo and everyone's poo is stinky and can be loud. LOL! So I learned to relax about it and nothing bad ever happened.

A friend of mine has Crohn's disease. He suffers horrible gastric pains and has bowel movements ALL DAY AND NIGHT. About once an hour he has to excuse himself from whatever he's doing and poo. It doesn't matter where he is or who he's with. If he doesn't, he'll poo his pants! I think he has seen the inside of every bathroom stall on the East coast of America and continental Europe. Yeah. Be glad you're not that guy!

I have the same fear. I don't want to poop at my boyfriend's house because I'm afraid he will hear or smell me, and this willl cause him to think I am unfeminine and gross. What keeps going through my head is, "Who wants to hear or smell their girlfriend's shit?"

I really need to get over this, but don't know how.

didnt think guys were bothered bout this just thought it was girls...its somethin a LOT f ppl worry about whenver i get a new boy.f i always worry about this... obviously dis isnt a permanent solution as ur not always gonna be able 2do it but when i need 2 go in my boyfriends i go 4 a shower... cus they dnt guess ur takin long cuz of dat..its cuz ur showerin ..so open d window turn n d shower n go toilet..then after shower n flush... smell has gone then !ur a dude she wont care!if she says somethin laugh it off...my boyfs a real manly kinda man n if he needed 2 go he'll say need 2 make a poo n ill b like shut up i dnt wna no n laugh...lol

(Note to self: never go to one of those if you don't like your family!!!)

Long story short: I was so terrified of everyone and everything, that I ended up holding it in for almost the whole day! My paranoia had kicked in and I wouldn't go until I was nearly crawling on the ground.
So to save myself the embarrassment, I finally went....

I've done this many times before... I use to go to camp and I'd hold myself all day because I was scared to use their dinky loos. Also, I was too scared to admit to people that I used the loo... Once, I nearly went on myself.... Or when I travel, I tend to not have to go the whole time. When, I went to Europe, I had a hard time using the loo, because there were other people in the room and it scared me!!!!

I really thought I was the only one, but I'm glad to hear I'm not!

I can't really poop in public places cause feel bad for making the restroom smell like poop. Maybe youre just constipated, but you think it's a phobia?

I hate public restrooms, have never taken a crap in one. In fact have never taken a crap anyway besides my personal lavatory, and one in a hotel or inn.

:( I'm sorry. Maybe you're just scared to go in public places because you feel pressured. In the hotel, your gf was waiting for you and you can somewhere to go.
