Say Happy Holidays to strangers or people you have just met. It is universal. Once you know what winter holiday they celebrate you use that for that individual. For Jewish people say happy hanuka, if Christian, say merry Christmas. After all, when you are wishing this person a happy holiday, it is about them not you. You are wis hinges them happiness on their holiday, not yours. Whatever you celebrate is not relevant.
As for the Mohammed drawings . . . .my lunch break is over. So . . . Sorry.
