Police involved in my relationship

Ok so a year ago my ex left me and the vops were all called on me by her parents and both of my family hates her and her family hates me and they wont ever let us be together. however im 19 and shes 22 and the cops said a year ago we were never aloud to see each other or talk to each other again however we never stopped talking and love each other again and used to see each other secretly and her family foundout. tgey said cops watched us and wont ever let us be together again except that was never true the cop laughed at her family for saying that and said if we talk as friends and see each other as friends we cant get in triuble but shes afraid to to it and i am too because im on probation. There is no PFA on us or nothing. So is it ok and safe for me and her to be together again weather what our familys say or do and would we be at risk of me going to jail for this or not?

      The most important one being why were the cops called on him by her family? If they were called for no reason presumably they would've just gone away again rather than telling OP and his gf not to associate with each other?

      I'm assuming there was either violence or the threat of it on OP's part

          Your first question is important and I'd like to know the answer too; the second one not so much because that could be cultural, racial or religious. On the other hand it could be because he's a no-hoper and he's conning her.

          I wouldn't mind betting we won't get honest answers from OP to these questions.

    She was my first love and my first heart break so i went crazy and yes bothered her to get with me and non stop. After this year she said shes sorry for everytging wand wAnts me back. im a normal guy but a broken heart made me insane and crazy i know that but now i got over it and back to myself again

    Me and my ex used to fight alot mostly she just gets mad for no reason and stuff becaus she has alot of disabilities like bipolar and assburgers and many more

    No restraining order and late at night i wanted to get her back the night she left me so i went to her house trying to get her and her family called the cops on us to get me away. Shes not ready to be on her own and shes afriad to get kicked out of ger house

    Cops in any civilised country wouldn't have that power, so if they did say that they were bluffing, probably to cool the situation down. I'm assuming there are no court orders against either or both of you in relation to the other?

    I don't see how either family can stop you seeing either other given you're both adults.

    The missing information is why were the cops called on you by her family?
