Idk I get it. I found it very freeing when I finally figured out my sexuality. It made it easier to not have to fumble and "I'm uh.. I'm straight but I like to look at people of other genders and will sleep with them too but I only fall in love with men so I'm straight..?" only to have people say "I had a bicurious phase too!" or "you had a sexy phase?" and end with me just sitting there, smiling, and screaming at them in my head "it wasn't/isn't a fucking phase!!!"
Figuring out my sexuality made me feel way less confused about myself and more confident. However, not everyone feels that way and not everyone should feel the need to stick a name on their sexuality. If people want to label their sexuality they will and, really, will figure it out on their own since none of us can speak for them.
I absolutely agree with you Holz, for me the society as it is these days they're going to label you no matter what. So it is better to know yourself first so you can be the label, if you know what I mean. And teach others the difference between the stereotypes. In most cases if you just say your this most people will not ask any further they just want a label, something to go off. Kills there curiosity and puts a stopper in their mouth.

Agree. But I suppose a person feels they need to discover it in order to discover themselves. It can be a big identity issue for people.
