i am a social drinker in a relationship with someone who never drinks but it works out for us. I always have a DD and he thinks i'm fun when i drink :) However, if you like to travel and he's broke, forget it. I know it sounds harsh but do you want to financially support him forever? I started out with a guy like that and he protested me paying for stuff at first but eventually didn't even offer to pay for stuff when he could, he'll get dependent on you. It sucks, find somebody who can enjoy the same lifestyle you do without it putting a strain on either of you. My non-drinker is not broke and even long distance things are great!
