And some parents give their children these weird names that are more likely to be susceptible to bullying, more to the point when the children grow up they are more likely to hate their name and change it.
Especially if its ebonics. No spelling a name uniquely will not determine if the child is unique. It's what the child does when they become an adult that will make them unique or not.
For e.g. I distinctively remember reading a news article where a woman names their child Midnight and as soon as I saw that I was like " Hopefully it isn't a joke ".
I bet when that child is grown up they're probably gonna be bullied for it and would likely change it.
Please help me to know if this name is unusual

I definitely would not name a child midnight. I personally thing that is more extreme than Merci.
