the red ring of death only affected 360s from 2007 and earlier. mines an '08, and its doing fine. also, the Xbox controller is more comfortable for me, especially the left stick placement, and the easier to use back buttons. its great especially for Fps games. The PS3's is still pretty ergonomic though.
