Pink Floyd is good, one of my favorite bands. But they actually really only had about three good albums. The Wall, Wish You Were Here, and,of course, Dark Side of The Moon. Very interesting music.
HOWEVER, The Beatles win this by a long shot. The Beatles were inventing techinques, the same techinques that Pink Floyd was later to use. Pink Floyd usually stuck to a bizarre psychadelic/Epic music style, and didn't really branch out. The Beatles did everything, You can probably bet if they were still around they would probably be doing Hip Hop as well.
I find most people that detest the Beatles have just not really sat down and listened to them. Either that, or they've listened to maybe Yellow Submarine and basing the Beatles off of that. Which Yellow Submarine is one of their worst songs; Significant, but not that good.
