    • How could pierced noses, stretched out deformed ears, sagging skinny jeans and death metal t shirts be in the least bit acceptable? I hate sounding like a dick, but you scene people suck! They say its cause they have been through something in life, bullshit. I've lost both parents, my sister was murdered, saw my best friends blown up right next to me in Afghanistan I have ptsd and I will never be a scene emo person!

      • You can have piercings and PTSD, dude. I'm very sorry you've had such awful things happen to you, but this isn't a contest to see who's been through worse things. Also, I don't think emo and scene styles have anything to do with claiming to have a hard life.

      • Us scene people?? I have only my ears pierced and no tattoos. Scene kids and I don't get along. Also, how can you limit tattoos and piercings to SCENE KIDS?! My fiance's fat, balding, 50-something father has a tatoo! WTF.
Scene kids don't dress like that because they have bad lives, they do it because they effin like it. Some of them may happen to have bad lives, but it doesn't have anything to do with their style- wtf kind of reasoning is that?? It's simply your intolerance that makes you think nobody could happen to just like the way it looks.

On another note, yes it's horrid what happened to your family- but that doesn't mean other peoples problems, even though not as bad as yours, should lay unaffected by their own. I do know what I'm talking about- I've had an uncharacteristically bad life myself.

        • I agree. If there are people worse off than you, that doesn't mean that your problems are any less painful or legitimate. I used to be really depressed, and I felt guilty for my depression and like I didn't deserve help, because I knew that there were people in way worse situations than me. That, of course, made the depression much worse. It's just not a healthy way to view the world, and it's not nice to tell people that they're not allowed to talk about their problems because yours are worse.

          • I'm sorry if anyone made you feel like that. Your problems are bad to you and that's all that matters. Don't worry about what others say, problems aren't meant to be competition.
I do hope you feel better.
