Piercing aftercare?

I have a tongueweb piercing for a few months now. The jewel gets white in time, does anyone know how to remove it? I know its a normal thing, i just need some advice please. I cant get it off myself, if theres too much white on it, i go to a piercer, he takes the piercing out and then cleans it, but i cant take my own piercing out. Help?

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • I got snakebites and for a long time afterwards one used to always ooze puss but y'know what I did? I took care of it myself. Like a capable person.

  • Go to a shop and have a piercer help you. I work in a tattoo shop as a piercer, and every day we get people who come in just for help getting jewelry out. We don't mind helping out! We actually prefer you come to us, rather than hurt yourself at home. :)

  • Buy a toothbrush with a tongue scrubby on the back of it, will remove the white stuff off ur tongue or ask or piercer for help

  • Unscrew it. Righty-tighty lefty-loosy.
