I think it would not be illegal, because the users themselves provide their login details to the scammers. Then the scammers use the login details provided by the user and transfer all the coins to another account. So, it is detected by EA as if the user transferred the coins himself/herself. The best way to be on the safe side is to avoid falling for such scams.
