    I'd disagree. It's root is actually to determine what we can know and what is valid; or most likely to be valid.

    It's a process of educating ourselves about real limits in what we can know and do.

    People who do not get that education make all kinds of mistakes in life as they don't seem to recognize false information of that they cannot really know.

      Idk man you see the kids coming out of university now? If thats getting educated I'm glad I did not get it. They learn to use educated terms to play mental gymnastics and come up with the most off the wall conclusions.

      I spoke to one the other day on discord for example that is going to university for nutrition degree trying to tell me its perfectly reasonable and normal for a man to identify as a dog. Even said it was ok for him to enter a dog show and society should treat him as a real dog. And people were agreeing with this clown. I am not making this up these people got educated and became retarded.

        I think that may have been some form of social manipulation, you being the star actor for some alpha type to entertain themselves and others. Being outraged is probably what led to him carrying it on and "convincing others that it's okay"

        Morals have to be developed and everyone develops differently. That's what makes psychology so useful, it offers a framework rather than a road map. Like how no two diamonds are compositely the same, no two people have the same templates

        I'm not saying it's good or bad, just that it means there are infinite ways a person could develop morals or for division on controversial topics. What's important is to push our understanding without presupposing too much and to challenge our beliefs without our hubris hindering us

        This is where I see the system fail, a lot of people end up not being able to see beyond themselves and move from an academic mindset to an antagonistic one. If I teach someone how to fish and they teach me how to make fire, then we've helped each other feed our families for life. If I teach someone how to fish and they kill me, that's a developmentally delayed person. If the point is for the betterment of humanity then we should act like it. There should be some level of understanding, which should obviate prejudices, and there should be a discourse where people gain a deeper understanding of things. I see a lot of people immediately go for logical fallacies and it just makes me think a conversation is useless for me
