Permission required before touching girlfriend

I have to explicitly ask for consent before touching her even though we live together. She has a surveillance camera set up in her bedroom and we live with two roommates (m/f couple).

This started in early June and I asked a couple times if something happened. She said nothing did. She just feels that I shouldn't be able to touch her whenever I feel like it because it violates her personal space and body. I have never touched her in a creepy way or snuck up behind her.

    That's not a relationship. That's 2 strangers meeting for the first time. I don't think you can call her a "girlfriend".

    I could do one of my usual essays on the topic of the importance of trust and touch in relationships, but this sounds like a men's-rights BS fantasy, so I'll keep it brief.

    What you describe is not how healthy, mature, and loving relationships work. She refuses to discuss her change of policy, so she's apparently not open to compromise and she's also not good at communication. I suggest you stop asking to touch her since it's pretty clear she doesn't like it; if you have to ask permission to do something in any context, then it's obvious the default starting position is 'no'. I also suggest you consider whether you're willing to suffer the indignity of being in a relationship with someone who keeps her barriers up, clearly doesn't trust you, and only tolerates you touching her.

    I get personal space, I get your girl might not be in the mood, but this is fucked up. Cameras, direct permission?! If a woman said this to me, the last thing she'd see is the taillights as I speed away with my hand out the window flipping her off.

    I'd advise you to get out of that hellhole and start over. Crazy bitches like this are only after to fuck up your life.

    If you’re being serious she’s probably lost feelings for you or she doesn’t want anything to do with you. I’d move on, body language is very telling and the physicality of relationships is what makes it one. Also what do you mean by touching?
