yes it is totally fine to have sex with a girl on her period. Blood washes off just like any other liquid that ends up on your genitals. The only thing I will say is if you have been using protection during sex normally, don't take the chance to have sex without the condom on her period. Although it is unlikely, she can still get pregnant, and if you're worried about STI's well... wear a condom.
