People aren't idiots just because they may wait until marriage to have sex. If anything, that's a smart thing to do as once you lose your virginity, you'll never get it back. What's idiotic is to give yourself to someone if the two of you aren't completely and utterly in love with one another and truly loyal to the other. Marriage is suppose to seal a relationship between people and represent that bond.
