Yes, I am sure those pregnant 14 year old girls with no father for the bastard child are thinking this too. Before you laugh at the rule why not try and think about the motives and reasoning behind it. People aren't idiots just because they may wait until marriage to have sex. If anything, that's a smart thing to do as once you lose your virginity, you'll never get it back. What's idiotic is to give yourself to someone if the two of you aren't completely and utterly in love with one another and truly loyal to the other. Marriage is suppose to seal a relationship between people and represent that bond.
People put too much value in virginity. If you give it up too quick, you're a "slut". If you decide to wait, you're a "loser". Why is virginity even considered special? It's just sex. I really don't get it.

Like anything else, it takes practice to be an accomplished lover. Nobody is a "natural" or "talented" lover, nobody.
So if you want to go into your marriage as an inexperienced dolt, unable to bring your partner pleasure, then go for it, but don't expect many on here to give you a high five for your "moral stand" of "saving yourself for marriage".
A few comments.
One, although I don't think there is anything wrong with waiting until marriage, thinking your first time is going to be "special" is really something we need to get out of people's heads. Putting so much emphasis and sacred context around a woman's virginity does things to girls, and most, if not all, will not consider their first time a very remarkable moment in their lives. In fact, I would argue most of those who have sex for the first time probably don't spend the rest of their lives with that person.
Two, if someone wants to wait until marriage, that is their own prerogative. With all the STDs that are out there, child support, latchkey kids, children born out of wedlock, and idiots having children prematurely because they are too irresponsible to properly use birth control, we really should let these people be.
You show me someone who is masturbating alone and "waiting until marriage" to have sex, and I'll show you someone who isn't causing any fucking problems.
I've known people who very well could have lost it if they wanted to, but only wanted to share it with the person they fall in love with. I can understand and respect that.
