  • My boyfriend and I aren't heavy drinkers either, but sadly the same cannot be said for the rest of the world. Its not only the alcohal though, its just the fact that some people get totally distracted, drunk or sober, and leave their kids to run allover the place. As far as the whole flower girl concept goes, I'm not really sure it would bother me whether the flower girl was someone's teenage daughter or one of the bridesmaids, so long as someone throws some damn flowers. I'm not really sure exactly how traditional weddings work, but I would imagine that the flower girl being a little girl isn't all that important? It just doesn't seem like something that would really bother me, when that day comes.

    • A flower girl is a symbol of youth and fertility thats why its always a small child.
im planning my moms wedding she wants traditional so I have learned so much the past few months lol.

But if someone said they didnt want kids I wouldn't be offended I would find a sitter.

      • Understandable, but I'm not really one for symbols and other symbolic stuff. To me, a wedding is about two people publically and officially commiting themselves to eachother, it doesn't really matter that the flower girl be a little girl, not to me anyway. My mother is getting married soon too, next year march :D
