When I was about 16 some slightly older guys with cars use to pick up cats from the neighbourhood and throw them out the window of their car at high speed. They thought it was hilarious. I'm really glad to say I never participated in that, but it says something awful about the mentality of young guys both then and now.
A couple of years ago for financial reasons I had to temporarily move back to the same 'hood and my beloved cat was run over by a car, deliberately I think.
