Take out heart disease and car crashes and america suddenly becomes like the rest of the 1st world countries in life expectancy.
In america you are free to make poor decisions (smoking and eating unhealthy) plus we have to drive practically everywhere because we are a massive nation that's very spread out, so more driving = more accidents and death.
Driving wise aparently the USA has some of the best drivers in the world.
I know a guy who lived in Germany for a few years, and, according to him, Germans have a ton more rules to follow while driving, but many people don't even follow the more basic American-type driving laws.
