It seems that most folks who think it's OK for men to pee sitting down either offer good reasons or ask for heavens' sake why not, while those who think it's not OK are like the last two posters and just say you're weird or not normal -- not particularly compelling arguments. I knew a guy once who had a "bashful bladder" -- an unfortunate condition officially known as paruresis, in which certain muscles involuntarily tighten when others are present, so they can't "go" when others are watching. He wound up staying home a lot, because if he went out to restaurants, bars, clubs, etc., and if he should need to pee (pretty much a certainty at some point), he might find someone else in the rest room, and then he couldn't pee. Going into the stall to sit would allow him to pee and so seemed like a perfectly reasonable solution, but he considered that "unmanly" and refused to do it, even if he was in significant pain. So he just didn't go out. Now THAT'S weird.
