They sound like bullies. Unfortunately bullies are everywhere and it usually stems from them hating themselves. I don't always follow this but it's best just to ignore them.
They basically get off on making you hurt, because their hatred for themselves makes their lives miserable and in turn, they want to make you miserable too.
If you keep crying they will keep picking. Until you can learn to cope it's best to just walk away.
It helps to pity them for the pathetic losers they are.
