I'd second the suggestion that you speak with a doctor. If for whatever reason you decide not to then I'll tell you the things that have helped me out, keep in mind I'm not a bloody doctor and you ought not consider this medical-grade advice.
1. Fiber/Fibre
However it is spelt in your country. Start introducing it nto your deit, you can sneak it in with stuff like whole grain bread/pasta, wild or brown rice, dried figs, prunes (try them sometime, they're actually good), raisins, and bran muffins. Slowly build up that stuff to a level that works for you.
2. Water
I know that seems like a "duh" suggestion, but you may be having rock-hard shits because your body is needing to wring as much water out of your stool as possible to avoid dehydration. Resulting in brick-shits. Don't drink a lot of soda and other junk, straight up water. I keep a bottle on hand and take a drink whenever I feel like snacking, curbs the appitite and may prevent excessive junk food consumption.
Other than that just watch out to see if there are foods that trigger your constipation.
If it isn't rock hard craps causing the pain, as in massive anus-ripping beast logs, then see a doctor for SURE. You may have an infection or who knows what else.
