Paid $16 for a small mcdonald's meal

I feel stupid. I ordered a chocolate shake, a filet'o'fish and a big mac and it came out to about $16. I went in there to get something from the dollar menu but I didn't want fries, and I wanted a shake instead of a soda. Also when I was ordering I thought the big mac alone wasn't enough food so I added a filet'o'fish burger. I didn't bother to look at the register and just swiped my card. I will never go to McDonald's again.

    Amateur. You can get a Mcdouble off the dollar menu but have them add shredded lettuce and special sauce for free and you have 90% of a bigmac for a buck if you don't mind being a cheap bitch. You could also get a hot fudge Sunday, let it melt, then mix it up and drink it with a straw. There's your ghetto ass chocolate shake for $1.

    If you really want to be cheap and get fat just make yourself a Mcgangbang. You order a Mcdouble and a Mcchicken, seperate the Mcdouble between the patties and insert the Mcchicken. Probably 1500 calories for $2 and diarrhea for days. You're welcome.

    It was your own fault for not paying attention to the price both when you ordered, and when you got your total. You only have your self to blame.

      Why are you assuming and hating?
      Not everyone knows the tricks of orders at mcds.
      Cause some of us don't eat there daily.
      Further, don't assume were lazy, or fat.
      The fact someone is unfamiliar with the tricks of a menu, should tell you something obvious.
      They don't eat there daily.
      Lazy? No.
      Sometimes we get in a rush but still need to eat.

      It may seem first world.
      Maybe it is.
      But some folks are just trying to keep their head above water.
      On a budget these things matter, they add up.
      Good for you if you can just drop $20 for a quick meal for 1 at mcds.
      It's not so easy for some.

      Blasphemy!! I lived on an almost entirely McDonalds diet for a good 6 months when I was extra poor.

      That super size me movie was bullshit. That dude was an amateur.

      Using the app and dollar menu can feed you on 3 bucks a day. The McChicken has the most calories for the price.

    Why wouldn't you look at the register before swiping your card? It could have said $160. Always look at the register before swiping your card. And always look at the receipt right after it's given to you.

    McDonald's is gross- the scourge of the world. They've worsened people's health, the planet, and animal whateverrrs.

    I feel despair when I see their sign- "BILLIONS AND BILLIONS SERVED".

    The only thing is, without Mickey DEEZ, where would ghetto moms with 5 kids work?

      The scale of the McDonald's empire is truly mind-boggling.

      Single use plastics have become an issue in the UK recently. One figure that blew my mind is that McDonald's has been handing out nearly TWO MILLION plastic drinking straws in the UK alone every single DAY.

        I was curious, so I plugged in some figures.

        That's about 1,852 pounds of plastic (840 kg) going into the oceans or polluting the planet everyday just from Ronald's UK customers choosing to succ instead of sip.

        Although, some customers (like me and my family) save good plastic straws for repeated washing and use at home.

    That would've cost about ten something in my area. Though I've been to a few McDonald's locations where it would've cost more. They tend to charge more or less for stuff depending on location. What you paid is normal.

    Where I live that would only cost about $10. I think you just live somewhere that costs more for you. Prices are regional and it would probably cost about the same if you got the same amount of food at another comparable fast food restaurant. Also that is not a small meal.

    I stopped at McDonald's location after a trip to ATM so all i have was 2 20's,, paid with a 20 got change for a 10 they said they would have balance and call me never got a call,, when I called back manager said till balanced.IT'S a rip-off

    Mcdo is a bitch.
    Everything looks quite cheap because you buy it individually. You end up adding more and more stuff because 1 burger doesn't fill you at all. At the end they're like that's $18, bye Felicia.

    My friends are always like 'lets go to mcdo cos im broke, but where i live you can eat a pasta from a restaurant for $10. It's the same price but at least you had a good meal and didn't consume 5637 calories from the 6 eurodeals you ordered.

    When you're 10 miles + from home.
    What good is it.
    Can you/do you
    Eat raw rice.
    Fast food is when you're away from home and need a quick food source.
