Maybe I'm giving American men too much credit, but I don't think it's because you're English. I've definitely known guys who rate women like that (my ex boyfriend gave me an 8), but it's really rude and objectifying. Even if you're giving somebody a high grade, it's gross as hell, especially unsolicited.
