      You do realize that text speak was invented (sorta) by the generation old enough to be your teen mom (people used SMS texting all throughout the nineties), don't you? Plus, text speak is based on leet speak, which is from the eighties (message boards/newsgroups), and shorthand, which is itself, well, ancient! Even people my age (20s) used "text speak" (we called it chat speak) on MSN and in IRC chat rooms when we were kids in the late nineties - early 2000s. We probably understand it better than you do, but we've moved on, and so should you.

      There are internet memes older than you are. Take it in. Be cognizant of that fact. Puts things in perspective doesn't it? I was in the same state of shock when I found out my dad had been using the internet since the early eighties, years before I was born. But don't feel bad, teenagers think they invent EVERYTHING.

      But congrats on the straight-As

        Love this. Fucking Millennials seem to think they invented the internet. Wake up children, the old fuckers that "just don't get it" built the fucking thing. I was there when the web (hint: the "web" and the internet are not synonyms) as you know it went up, before that it was even older fuckers that built that.
