Why does everyone have an issue with someone telling someone else they love them if they assume its too soon? What is too soon? Can anyone give me an exact time when in the relationship the word love should be used? No, you can't, because every relationship is different. Some relationships take a long time to grow into true love and some people fall inlove instantly. My boyfriend and I fell inlove after our first date. We started telling eachother we loved eachother after a month. In that first month we were inseperable and have been ever since. I also moved in with him after a month of dating and we have yet to have one argument. We barely even disagree on anything. We spend every minute of our free time (when he's not at work) together and we have been together for a year now. There's nothing wrong with someone telling there significant other that they love them, IF they are genuine. Its not impossible for someone to think they are inlove when they're actually just acustomed to the feeling of having a boyfriend/girlfriend and feel the word love is nessicary. Again, it all depends on the individuals involved in the relationship. Fifteen year old girls telling their very first highschool boyfriend they love them? Chances are slim that they're actually inlove but its not impossible. Two mature adults that really do have a noticable romantic connection saying "I love you"? Very likely its genuine. I'm not sure its natural for it to freak you out, especially since in your post it seems you really click with this guy. If you don't feel 100% sure you're inlove with him though, you're probably not. Not yet anyway. Give it some time to blossom into love. Some people open up slower than others.
