Being a bit of a hypochondriac (if I have a headache I have a brain tumour) I'd definitely get this checked out.
If this were happening to me my initial reaction would be I broke my ankle and now it has grown back deformed and if I don't get it sorted I will develope a tumour and shortly die...just me though
